We picked up our neighbour Lyndy's fresh organic eggs early this morning just before heading off on deliveries. Lyndy, her hens and some very fine roosters live with her fiance Dave Pinner on a certified organic farm, just up the road from us in Karoola. Her clucky free range hens are housed in barns with runs, and fed on spelt, peas, oats and sunflower seeds, all grown organically on farm. Lyndy's beautiful buff-coloured eggs were washed prior to packing in recycled egg cartons.Monday, September 28, 2009
